Mads and Christina met seven years ago. Having found one other later in life, they knew they wanted to have a child as soon as possible. Christina, having worked with children her whole adult life never dreamed that her dream of having a family of their own would be so difficult. Unfortunately, things weren’t going their way were referred to the Institute for Reproductive Health.
After riding the rollercoaster emotionally with surgery, six IUIs each being more aggressive each try and miscarriages, they were told the next step was IVF. “Just hearing IVF our hearts sank,” the couple stated. So, they thought they’d take a chance at the IVF raffle at the Journey to Parenthood event. Christina and Mads were there to support the organization and all it’s doing for infertility and all the other couples out there struggling. They never imagined that their names would be selected. Until their names were called at the end of the event and were in shock!
Christina and Mads are beyond grateful to Parental Hope and feel extremely blessed to be given the chance to continue their journey to build a family. They would also like for this to encourage others to not lose HOPE as you continue on your journey.
