Christian and Jennifer originally met in college but didn’t start dating until many years after graduating. They dated for several years, got married, and then wanted to start a family shortly thereafter. After six months of trying, they decided to seek out an infertility specialist. In fact, they ended up consulting several different fertility specialists but no one could ever find anything wrong. Everything was “normal.” After numerous tests, exams, and consultations, they were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. There was no clear reason given for their struggles to conceive, which left them frustrated. They were frustrated that no one seemed to be able to given them an answer or explain ‘why’ this was happening, but still hopeful that they might be able to conceive naturally one day. After 5+ years of trying various infertility treatments, they decided to seek the help of the Institute for Reproductive Health.
In their first IVF attempt, they were blessed with a positive pregnancy test and welcomed healthy twins 9 months later!
In an effort to grow their family, Christian and Jennifer again tried for months to conceive naturally but were unsuccessful. They sought the help of IRH again, hoping the treatments would quickly solve their fertility concerns as they had in the past. They tried multiple IVF and/or FET cycles but have been unsuccessful in adding to their family. The medication, treatments, financial burden, and stress were mounting. Luckily, they still have one frozen embryo and a chance at making their dreams come true.
