Nancy & Jeff

Jeff asked Nancy to be his girlfriend in 1999 at the innocent age of 14. They had previously met as young children with their families being lifelong friends. After three years of dating, the sweethearts decided to go separate ways. Fast forward about 10 years later, and Jeff asked Nancy to be his girlfriend again. In 2015, they got married during a vacation to South Carolina surrounded by family and friends.

Jeff is a waterjet machinist and Nancy is an elementary school counselor. While they’re not busy working or helping others, they enjoy spending time outdoors and time with their dog, Hemi. Nancy and Jeff always dreamed of raising children, especially alongside their nieces and nephews. After trying to get pregnant on their own for over a year and a half, they began seeking answers.

All medical tests came back normal and medications were tried for months without success. They were eventually referred to a fertility specialist where Nancy was diagnosed with low ovarian reserve and endometriosis. Even though infertility was not covered by insurance, they decided to move forward with treatment. Appointments, medications, injections, surgery, acupuncture, procedures, and heartache became their new norm. Four years, five failed IUIs, and thousands of dollars later, conversations about IVF began. They had no idea how they’d begin to pay for IVF and felt discouraged.
