Rebecca & Eric

Eric and Rebecca met through mutual friends during the summer of 2009. Eric, a respiratory therapist, enjoys anything outdoors including fishing, hunting and gardening. Rebecca, a human resources manager, loves crafting, knitting, and her guilty pleasure is reality television. The couple soon started dating after meeting and have been together ever since. The couple was married in 2016. While the couple was dating Rebecca found out that she had a large pedunculated fibroid that needed to be removed. After the myomectomy was performed, they found out that the fibroid weighed 2.1 lbs. This was the beginning of her reproductive medical issues.

On their honeymoon, the couple went to Jamaica where Rebecca contracted the Zika virus. At the time it was devastating waiting to start a family. The couple decided to be married a full year before they started trying to conceive. After six months of trying naturally with no luck, Rebecca went to see her doctor to see if he had any answers that would help. The couple tried three rounds of Clomid before seeking help from the fertility clinic. After testing the couple, Rebecca and Eric found out that to have children, they would have to start the IVF process. Rebecca had uterine polyps, an endometrioma on her right ovary, and her fallopian tubes were blocked. Wanting a family, Rebecca and Eric decided to take the steps necessary to start IVF. During the process, the couple ended up with one viable embryo after pregenetic testing. After the transfer, they learned that the IVF round was unsuccessful.

That is when Eric did some research and found Parental Hope. The couple is looking forward to continuing their journey to start a family with the help from Parental Hope.
