Shelby and Kyle have been together for seven years and known each other for 13. Kyle is a journeyman for Reddy Electric and Shelby is a technician for Dayton Eye Associates. They love the outdoors and their four-legged dog, Ryder.
Three years ago, Shelby was diagnosed with precancerous tumors which required surgery. Shortly after surgery, their doctor explained that Shelby’s Fallopian Tubes did not develop correctly. She also received a diagnosis of endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Their hearts were crushed with the news that starting a family would likely be a difficult one with expensive fertility treatments.
Shelby and Kyle sought out a fertility doctor in Centerville, Ohio and learned IVF would be thousands of dollars. Devastated, they didn’t know how they were going to pay for treatment. Realizing that IVF wasn’t covered by insurance and money for treatment was due upfront, they were quickly losing hope, but never stopped praying for a miracle! Their blessing came through by a very good friend who introduced them to Parental Hope.
