Amber & Dustin

Amber worked for the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) for over 3 years, and is now an Elementary Special Education Teacher in the town where she grew up. Dustin is an Inside Sales Representative for a stainless steel producer, where he has been employed for 8 years. Amber is from Vevay, IN, and Dustin is from Atlanta, GA. They currently reside in Hanover, IN with their 3 dogs, Harley, Hazel, and Oliver. Amber and Dustin met at Eastern Kentucky University in 2011, when their roommates introduced them on a blind date, and have been inseparable since. They married in 2017 and immediately started trying for a family.

After trying to conceive for one year with no luck, Amber and Dustin began seeking out fertility specialists. They quickly learned the chances of conceiving on their own were very slim. In 2018, they were advised that InVitro Fertilization (IVF) would be the best chance at starting a family. Amber was diagnosed with a Prolactinoma, which is now managed with medication, and also struggles to ovulate without assistance from medication. Dustin was diagnosed with male factor infertility.  Despite the barriers, Amber and Dustin completed three rounds of intrauterine insemination (IUI), numerous labs, ultrasounds, medications, vitamins, tests, injections, etc.

“It has been a long four-year journey, to say the least, but we are BEYOND excited for this opportunity that Parental Hope has presented us!! We would not be here without the love, assistance, and support that ALL of our friends and family have given us!!! We are forever grateful to Parental Hope, and to our loved ones, and we cannot wait to get started on this journey!!!”
