Ashley is a Registered Nurse in the emergency room, while Lance works as a welder in construction. The two of them together own and operate a beef cattle and hay business in Flemingsburg where they live with their dogs.
Ashley and Lance got married in 2017 with the intention of starting a family. However, they faced challenges in conceiving. They went through extensive testing, sought expert opinions, and tried multiple medicated cycles and IUIs over the course of three years. Despite their efforts, they were unable to conceive.
Feeling the need to explore other options, Ashley and Lance decided to move forward with IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). During this time, Ashley prayed for community and friendship to support them through their journey. To her surprise, she found three people at her workplace who had been patients at IRH. Through one of her new friends, Ashley learned about a grant that could potentially help them in their pursuit of growing their family.
Receiving this grant has given Ashley and Lance HOPE for another chance at fulfilling their dream of having a child.
